Diego brings extensive experience as a trusted legal advisor to executives and in-house legal teams in labor and employment law, including labor and employment litigation, labor relations, risk management, and compliance. He has represented domestic and multinational clients in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies, and has extensive experience handling matters under Puerto Rico’s labor and employment statutes. Diego’s expertise spans non-compete and restrictive covenant disputes, discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII, the ADEA, and ADA, wage and hour claims under the FLSA, employee benefits and leave matters under the FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, and USERRA, class and collective actions, and employment-related contract and tort claims.
In addition, Diego has significant experience advising clients on labor relations, including the negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements, counseling on concerted activities, grievance procedures, union interactions, and workforce restructuring. He also provides strategic guidance on compliance programs, employee policies, risk mitigation, and proactive workforce management, helping organizations prevent disputes and minimize liability.
